Security
DAMM operates entirely in on-chain environments in a non-custodial manner. By the very nature of blockchains and smart contracts, we are exposed to the inherent risks of the ecosystem — most notably, hacks.
We categorize hack-related risks into two main areas:
Smart Contract Risk
Operational Security (OpSec) Risk
Smart Contract Risk It is impossible to guarantee that a smart contract is 100% secure, but risks can be mitigated. DAMM relies on its internal risk-adjusted framework and on risk rating providers such as Credora to assess whether an investment offers an attractive risk-adjusted profile.
Fortunately, smart contract auditing practices and development tools have advanced significantly in recent years, leading to a marked decline in the overall amount of funds lost to exploits.
Operational Security (OpSec)
In 2024, nearly half of all crypto-related losses were not due to smart contract vulnerabilities but to operational security failures — including social engineering, phishing, and human error.
At DAMM, we recognize that strong OpSec is critical to protecting capital and ensuring sustainable, long-term performance. That’s why we have partnered with OpSek, one of the leading security teams in the ecosystem, to help us mitigate these risks and uphold the highest security standards for our investors.
